A free spirit with a career journey of her own kind. Anastha Eka Susanti kickstarted her journey right after university as a corporate strategic planner. She then spent 7+ years (2008-2016) in strategic management and business performance monitoring across three industries: transportation, commercial banking, and book publishing and retail.
In 2012, amid personal and professional challenges, she took a Creative Nonfiction Writing class at PlotPoint (now Wahana Edukasi) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Yet, it wasn’t until four years later that she finally took a leap of faith and transitioned into writing and publishing.
She spent a brief time as an in-house editor for Penerbit KPG before returning to her hometown, Bandung, Indonesia, and launching herself as a full-fledged freelancer, a role she has maintained to this day. Since then, she has edited, translated, and ghostwritten books in both Indonesian and English, as well as written business reports, internal publications, and social media content for various Indonesian brands and companies.
Realizing that her background in business management could enrich the creative sector, she expanded into arts administration and management in 2018. She served as Program & Marketing Manager at Wot Batu (2020-2023), an outdoor art installation created by prominent Indonesian sculptor Sunaryo. Since 2023, she has been managing Jalan Teater Indonesia, a theater organization focused on applied theater.
These days, she is exploring a new territory, mental wellness, as a Community Outreach Partner at Statera Healing Studio, continuously driven by the transformative power of storytelling and creativity.
